Thursday

Today we went to lunch at the school again. When I told Duncan we could go eat lunch, he cheered. They were having corndogs.

Jason and I came home and took a nap. Playing at the park two days in a row just did him in.

Then Kristen called me and invited us to go to Cowabunga Bay. We went from 5:00pm-7:00pm because all the men wanted to come after work. The kids had a blast!! They want to go back, soon!!!!

Duncan really thinks is hot stuff.
They really wanted their picture taken by the car.
Samantha was very hesitant at first, but she pulled out of her shell and enjoyed the water slides.
Jason went on 6 or 7 slides with me. He walked right past the baby slides, and went for the big ones. He had so much fun!! Except when he got to cold. Then he was done.
There was two great big bucket that dumped water on the kids. Duncan and Tori ran back and forth between them for quite a while.
Samantha could have stayed for the full day!
The girls didn't do much together. Samantha hung with her cousins and Duncan and Tori took off together. I did catch this picture though.
More bucket pooring. As you can tell, this was the highlight!
Samantha finally decided to try the bucket deluge right before we left.
This is what it looked like! It really was a lot of fun.
My crazy kids laying down waiting for the water. Tori said it was like getting a refreshing massage. =)

Days of 47 Rodeo

Duncan got to be part of the flag ceremony at the Days of '47 Rodeo. This is about 8 minutes of Rodeo. So unless you REALLY LOVE Rodeo, or REALLY LOVE my kids, you might want to skip it. =)

Wednesday

This morning I had to get up and get Duncan from soccer again. I hope this week ends soon. I'm exhausted! I know 8:30pm isn't that big of a deal. I shouldn't be complaining.

Then we went to Washington Elementary with some friends who have eight kids between the two of them. Whew!!! We had lunch and played on the play ground. We will probably be doing this daily! It wore Jason out!!!

Duncan took the camera and took these pictures. Kind of cool. I'm not sure what he wants to do with them, but he asked me to email them to his account.

Tuesday

Duncan had his soccer clinic again this morning. I'd mistakenly thought this clinic went just till the end of last week. So another week, of me dragging myself out of bed in time to pick up Duncan. He is really enjoying it though.

Jean Dellangelo, Jason's Speech Therapist, came to the house today. She worked on a few things with Jason. She played a game where they PUSHED some balls IN a box, she used the capitaled words over and over again. She did a puzzle with him, that of course he excelled in. She named all the shapes and then he wanted her to count them when they were done. She had some cards with children s faces on them with their mouths in different shapes, and she would hold them up and say AAAAA, EEEEEEE, OOOOOOOO. Jason didn't actually voice any of the sounds, but his cute mouth was attempting to make the right shapes. She did another puzzle with him that had animals. She held up the puzzle pieces and we asked him where they went. He would point to the right place, and then we would say the animal sounds. At this point he was done, so she started getting things put away. We sang a song, I can make my feet go jump, jump, jump.....and he loved it. He would jump and look at us, as if to say more please. Progress.....

Duncan went with his buddy to the park, after much coaxing on my part to turn of his computer. While he was at the park, the girls had a parade. The neighbor kids even knocked on doors and told them they were having it.

This is the extent of the parade. Tori was quite clever and tied the wagon to her bike.
This is a couple of our sweet neighbors that actually stood out on the sidewalk, and clapped and waved at my kids.
Samantha decided she didn't want to be in the parade. I'm guessing that Tori had a cooler float then Samantha so she just wanted to bow out.
Jason sat on my lap, as we sat on the side of the road. He was pretty tired.
Tori's float.
Another of our sweet neighbors, she walked around with her daughter so she could be in the parade.
Tori was quite pleased with how it turned out.

Monday

My husband called me this morning to remind me that the kids had an eye appointment. It's a good thing he did. I would not have remembered. It was quite the ordeal. Jason, Samantha and Tori all had appointments. Which is exhausting. I'm not sure if I prefer splitting them up, or not. If you split them up you are driving up to PCMC three times, but at least you are only fighting one kid at a time. The rest can be babysat.

Tori's vision is fine, her retinas are doing well. Samantha's retinas are doing fine, but she will be getting some progressive bifocals. That should be interesting. She has always had a hard time reading through her lenses. This wouldn't be a big deal except that she sticks her nose clear into the book to read them. We just spent another $500.00 to get her seeing. We must really like her. Jason is near sighted, but is still not too bad. Not that he'd wear the glasses if the doctor said he would need them. His retinas are also fine.

By the time we got done ordering Samantha's new glasses I was spent. Jason cried the whole appointment. Duncan and Tori fought or were overly silly. Samantha is always overly silly, or REALLY Momma needy. Today just wasn't my day.
This picture was taken by Duncan as he and Tori tried to wrestle with Jason out in the lobby while we got Samantha's glasses situated. The receptionist in the lobby asked Duncan if Jason wasn't feeling well. Duncan just smiled and said, "Nope, he's just Autistic."
For Family Night we went to the Bountiful Art Museum. The have a free Family Fun night once a month, so I thought we'd take advantage of it. My Mom and Dad came with us. We consider Mom an artist even if she doesn't.

Jason of course was his normal self. Thank goodness there really wasn't anything that Jason could get to, to destroy.
Tori and Sam really liked the paintings. It was kind of fun to see them look around.
There was a little project area, we didn't have much time to explore.
Duncan spent most of the time looking around with Grandpa. This was my favorite picture though. All the gold is embossed. Pretty cool huh?
Then they had a little art project. They showed the kids the picture "The Scream" by Edvard Munch and then told the kids to draw what made them scream.

Of course, Jason just jumped in and drew to his hearts content.
Samantha drew Monsters.
Tori drew a grave yard.
I'm not sure what Duncan drew. He drew a couple of different things and kept jumping up to show the teachers.
It was a fun and cheap Family Home Evening. The kids enjoyed themselves and even got some treats out of it.

Sunday

Duncan did me a huge favor! The lesson in Relief Society was about the Priesthood. There are few songs in the Hymn book, that are about the Priesthood that aren't for men only. He was very sweet and did a VERY good job. I think I was more nervous then he was though, since I had to play the piano. Not my forte!!!!

Duncan stood up in front of all the ladies and belted it out to them. Brett came in to listen to Duncan and record it with his phone. Unfortunately the microphone picked up the piano better then Duncan in some places, so I'm sorry about that.

Thanks for singing Duncan, you did VERY WELL!! I love you!!!

Saturday

We had breakfast with our ward this morning. It was our Patriotic Celebration. I really didn't plan on going because I didn't have a casserole to bring, and I was tired! Duncan called from the church to make sure we were going because he had to help with the flag ceremony. It was lovely. There were quite a few people there, and then a bunch of Missionaries showed up to polish off the remainder. It has been quite a nice do nothing kind of Saturday.

Again, the girls played in the water. Our back yard is kind of getting swampy. They are going to have to let it dry out before they play in the water again.
So they went into the front yard. Fine with me. It's pretty dry!
The Elders came by to see if they could transfer some things off a voice recorder. They were singing at an activity tonight, and they wanted to get it on "tape". They stayed at our house for about 2 hours, moving things around for Duncan to make his computer go faster.
Jason went outside with the kids to play in the water, but ended up in the backyard.
We roasted marshmallows tonight and the neighbors were out back. They had marshmallows as big as your fist, so they came over and we had some fun.
Jake had to light off some fireworks. The kids thought they were awesome! Truth to be told, I did too! There just isn't anything like good fireworks.

I love this picture!!! It makes me smile!
Samantha wasn't quite as adventurous. She wanted to stay back on the porch.
Angela, came over and just plopped down on Bretts lap. She is so dang cute!
Sam looking up at the sky.
I thought this was a cool picture. Just caught the tail end.
Here's my Sam.
Sparklers. Gotta love em!
Jason was doing this the whole time. He crashed before dinner. We were out too late last night!!
