October 10th

Again....this is what happens when you lie on the floor.  Jason decides you need to be sat upon.

October 9th

Well the 9th was a little busy, but mainly it was just work and hang out.

I got the van licensed!

I don't know why Jason lays on the ground.  It's kind of sporadic.  Duncan always has to get in his face.

Jason will pull me into my bedroom and want to snuggle.  I love that about him.

And apparently Daisy likes to watch T.V.

October 8th

On Monday the 8th we decided that it was time to get Jason a Christmas Present.  Ok....I know it's October.  He has broken 3 ipads so far.  But he's killing me......he's been so out of control lately that there was no stopping him.  We went to the UofU and got him a new iPad.  He could care less about Christmas so we are going to just get him a few things.  We were smart this time and bought an insurance policy for it so if he breaks it again in the next 2 years we can get it replaced.

October 7th

October 7th was a Sunday.  We always have fun with the family on Sundays.  I love that my kids ask to go to Grandma's and Grandpa's house still.  There will be a day when they want to stop, but for now we are good.

Duncan has been so clingy lately.  I know he doesn't see it that way, and I know he thinks he's funny.  I guess I'm just glad that he still likes his Mom.

I love my sweet boy!

Brett and Derek have the same Brain I swear!!  If I didn't know better I would think they were in the womb together.  They have similar likes, dislikes, personality.  It's a little eerie sometimes.

Tori is my helpful child.  She loves her brother and loves to help me.  A good combination if I do say so myself.

Every Sunday Samantha is the first to grab the funnies.  She loves the Sunday comics and she will even take them home some weeks.

Aunt Sherri is as much of a kid as the kids are.  Gotta LOVE Aunt Sherri!!!

We still hit Grandma & Grandpa Siddoways and Grandma & Grandpa Child's house every Sunday.  The kids get to play with their cousins and it sure is fun to see them all growing up.

We will borrow the Siddoway Truck every once in a while so that Brett can go to an event for work.  Jason LOVES the truck.  I don't know what it is about the truck versus the Van, but he LOVES the truck!

That and Laundry baskets.  He LOVES laundry baskets.  =)

October 6th

October 6th was the Child Family Halloween Party.  This year ended up being a little more mellow then usual.  Basically we visited the pumpkin patch and then went back to Kristens house for Chilli. It worked.

We got there right at 1:00 pm.  This was instructed by my mother was a necessity.  I think we waited about 30 minutes for anyone else to show up.

Jason liked the big boxes of pumpkins.

Of course so did Samantha.

There were some monstrous pumpkins in the back of this truck.  The girls were fascinated by them.

Waiting can by hard sometimes.  So you just have to be silly!!

Maxwell did sleep the night before.  He was weird!!  =)

Jason REALLY liked the boxes of pumpkins.

Everyone finally showed up and the first thing anyone wanted to do was go on the BIG slide!  Jason would have stayed there if we would have let him.

This was taken right after a trip down the slide.  I love my boys.

We wandered around, found some pumps.  Duncan tries to hard to be cool, ALWAYS.

Tori was just enjoying the fun of it all.  Can you tell?  She gets very focused at times.

Samantha was hard to catch.  I swear the girl doesn't understand how to stay with me.  So we took pictures with the other three.  Per Duncan's request.

We took off and picked our pumpkins.

Jason was more interested in laying in the dirt.

After we finished with Dinner we headed home, and I went up to the In-Laws for a little female bonding.  We crafted.  I made this lovely witch.  The original witch had stringy ribbon? hair.  I decided my witch needed and Afro.  I stopped at the craft store and picked up a wig.  I cut it apart and glued it on.  Yes.  I'm VERY proud of my addition.

This is my witch and the pumpkins all together.  All in all it was a fun day.

October 5th

I felt like Friday was a non stop craziness. I woke up, got ready and took Jason to school. I drove to work and then hung out for about 30 minutes. I went over to bed bath and beyond and bought a new pillow. I worked until 2:30 pm at Dress Barn. I picked up Jason went home. Then I took about an hour nap. Brett started changing out the tie rods of the van and I worked for the rest of the night.

October 4th

Well Thursday I kept Jason home from school and then took him to the doctor. He had a raging ear infection. I'm also convinced he was starting a sinus infection as well. As the antibiotic is kicking in he has had a lot more discharge. It's been a long week and I'm a little emotionally whacked. I'm hoping next week proves better for me and my family.

October 3rd

I didn't want to wake Jason up this morning. He actually slept last night and I really wanted to sleep in! I did wake him up and told him it was time for school. He stretched for a while but got out of bed and walked into the front room. Samantha has been dying to use my lunch bag so she had to have home lunch today. she was busy getting her lunch together while i got Jason's chocolate milk. I made sure Sam got next door and Jason and i got in our van. There was only a tiny bit of whining when it came time for the school van. He now only fights for a second or two and then climbs on in. I went home and got to work. It's been very nice being able to actually work, when I'm working. When Jason is home it's a race to see how much I can get done before he comes and gets me out of my chair. I let the two crazy dogs in for lunch and am now waiting at the smiths parking lot for my baby to get home from school. I'm looking forward to snuggling with him for a few minutes before everyone else gets home from school.
When Jason got off the the school van he hoped skipped and jumped to the van.  He's such a sweet boy.

We went home and he wanted a bottle and a snuggle.  But he just started freaking out.  He messed up my phone somehow.  The volume is gone  It thinks that it's plugged into something and so the volume on the videos is gone.  He threw a fit for about 2 1/2 hours and tried to bite me.  I'm hoping we can get him a new iPad soon, so that will solve that problem for a few months.

Duncan, Tori and Sam are home now, doing homework and practicing instruments.  Jason's mood is back to happy, and I'm trying to get a little extra work done.  We will have Parent Teacher Conferences tonight .  I'm hoping for good news.

Parent Teacher Conferences were wonderful.  Both kids were praised by all their teachers.  We just went line by line and took turns holding places in line so that it went faster.  (Which wasn't that fast).  .Both of their music teachers raved about them.  Duncan is missing a couple assignments but nothing like last year, and they can be turned in.  Tori is only missing one or two things, and she can make-up and redo a few of her assignments so she would be able to turn those in again.  We spent the last 20 minutes or so in Duncan's Peer Tutoring class.  His teacher loves him, and is so grateful for his help.  He was basically advising Duncan that there are many, many jobs out there that would be able to help people with Special Needs.  He says that this is a big strength for him and that he is proud to have him in his class.  I have a pretty sweet boy.

Both are doing well, grade wise, and I'm proud of them.

October 2nd

We went to another parents training for NUAP last night. A lot if it was talking about fund raising. I know that's how the program is helped but whenever people talk about fundraisers I get overwhelmed. Life is stressful enough. Adding one more thing sometimes just adds enough pressure for me to feel like I'm drowning. I'm sorry if I hound anyone about a fundraiser hopefully you all understand.

We did have a lady tell us that they had invested in a tent that fits on your child's bed and zips from the outside. Her son hates it but many parents swear by it. She will charge us $100.00 so I'm not sure if we can buy it from them, but it might be an option.

Jason and Samantha had fun on the playground. Sam dug a hole under the wall of it and Jason climbed on everything. When we got outside Sam and an Aide were trying to get his shoes back on.

Duncan and Tori stayed at home. Tori is almost done reading the twilight series and she wanted to keep reading. Duncan had Curtis over and he really wanted to stay home. Well, that was last night. :)

September 28th

Brett and I went shopping together on Saturday.  Jason came with us.  He has decided he likes to push the cart.  This is a new thing.  If he's out of the cart he usually just runs off.  I like seeing progress.

I found him playing with toys in Samantha's room.  Toy's has never been something that Jason has been interested in.  I love that my boy is growing.

I received a gift for being "A Star".  This is a program at work where anyone can write good things about you and as you build them, you get different things.  I love my job.

September 26th

When I went to drop Jason off at the van I undid his seatbelt.  He grabbed it and tried to buckle it again.  I think that he had decided that if he was buckled I couldn't make him go to school.

My funny dogs.  Yes. I do actually like them.

Jason has early out on Wednesday's.  The last Wednesday of the month I have to drive up to his school to get him.  I found him outside on the playground.

This toy just spins.  The teacher said it is one of the boys favorite things.

That night Brett went to the Gym.  Jason Muir talked him into going to Zumba with him.  He was sore for days afterward.

And here is the video from my friend Katie.  I love it!!
