October 21st

Duncan is my big GEEK!  He flip flops between Supernatural and Doctor Who.  Grandma Siddoway let him have this awesome trench coat.  He wants to look like Castiel.  I think he looks like a Missionary.  Either way I'm ok with it.

Jason is not doing well.  He doesn't feel good or something.  He's been having major sensory underload.  He's constantly moving and he swings between ok and not.  So this day he'd been crying for quite a while.  I decided to give him a bath.  He did settle down.

I'm deleting things.

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 17, 2013

This is what Jason generally does while waiting. We spend a lot of time in the car anymore. Sometimes the iPad is a curse and a blessing. I listened to http://youtu.be/e-JHfXVlkik so many times yesterday I just about threw it away.

It was red ribbon week and I asked Duncan what was on his face. He said, "I had to let them paint my face. I wanted a donut hole." Ya red ribbon week had a great impact.

My poor Samantha is having allergies. She has excema all over her pretty face. She called me from school and her eyes are killing her. Jason and I had to go to school and give her eye drops and some ibuprofen.

Yes....this is jason on an elementary school bathroom floor. He was so naughty at the store buying eyedrops that I didn't have the energy to take care of Sam and fight him off the floor. Yes I'm a good Mom....

Jason's emotions

Can you believe it? I've caught up!!!

Jason doesn't feel good though. He woke up and didn't want to get out of bed. When I went to get him dressed he threw a tantrum. I laid back down with him and he settled down. But when the bus came he freaked. When I got him off the bus he was crying and he cried and fussed for another twenty minutes. He finally settled down and is just snuggling with me in bed. I didn't feel well the last few days. I think I might have been more than just run down. Jason's off track for about four weeks so I think it's good for him to have a break.

Playing Catch Up October 14th

Jason got to sit with some wonderful ladies at Special Needs Primary.  We are trying to get him to stay without me, so I sit with another sweet boy while his aid and one of the primary presidency sits with him.  Yes.  On Monday it took two adults to maintain Jason.

Then we ran to the golf course for Child Family Pictures.  It is true chaos.  Poor Leslie has to try and figure it out, while we all try and control our kids.  Most of the time we cater to Jason so we can catch him looking at the camera.  Rarely is he smiling in those big group photos.

Selfie.

We ate dinner at Mom's and then headed home for the night.  It's always nice to not have to cook dinner.

Then Jason showed us his new trick.  He blew kisses to everyone as he left.  My sweet friend Darla taught him on the bus ride home.  I'm sure going to miss her working with Jason.

Playing Catch Up October 12th

It was time for the Child Family Halloween Party.  The older kids got to put on a spook alley down in the basement.  It couldn't be too spooky because there are little people.  They did have fun though.

Tori was the wolf.

Duncan was an ape.

Samantha was an explorer.

After all was done we went down to the elementary school to play.  The kids rode in the back of the truck the whole block we drove.  Lauren drove home.  I know.....safe.

Playing Catch Up October 10th

I love that they can play together!

Playing Catch Up Pictures from the kids ipod

I don't know why someone took a picture at church but they did.

Duncan was very excited about his nightside project shirt.

I think Samantha was having some fun.

Awe....Love the duck face!

Playing Catch Up Tori's Fall Band Concert.

Tori had her Fall Band concert.  She did awesome and has been given the opurtonity to play first flute.  There are twelve flutes in the band and she got one of four spots.  It made her day!

Playing Catch Up October 9th

He does like the water bed.  Just not when it's time for bed.  We are really going to have to push the bed time routine.

I had Jason SEP conference.  He is doing really well.  The issues that we have had at home lately are not a concern at school so that's good.

Playing Catch Up October 7th

It has been a struggle, but Jason made it all the way through Special Needs Primary.

He loves the vacuum.

We went to Mom's to get the water bed.  He didn't help much.

We got it filled up.

I've decided that Jason has Autism because he was born in the wrong era.  He loves everything 70's and 80's.

Successful one night.

Playing Catch Up October 6th

Duncan was goofing off with his Dad and he wrote on his leg.  So Brett wrote on his stomach.

Playing Catch Up October 5th

Gotta love bath time.

Playing Catch Up October 4th

Samantha had a Halloween Carnival for her school so we went and had a good time.  For the most part Samantha and Tori took off and hung out with friends so most of my pictures are of Jason.

Here are Jason and Tori swinging for a minute while Sam bought the tickets.

Jason loves the park.

They got their hair colored.

Jason jumped off the playground.

He has no fear.

What a cute kid I have.

Grandma and Grandpa Child came down and Jason thought that was great.

Until we wanted to listen to Samantha sing.  Then he hid under the bleachers.

She loves to sing.  Especially the Purple People Eater.

Playing Catch Up October 3rd

Samantha and Tori got to go to the Clark Planetarium with her Vision Teacher.  They love going places with her as well as going with other children that work with Marcia.

Playing Catch Up October 2nd

Jason loves the bus.  He's been riding with my friend Darla.  She has been his bus aide.  She was my Young Women adviser back in the day as well as one of my good friends Mom's.  He loves the bus.

Tori had Young Women in Excellence.  They gave us this picture of her holding her favorite picture of Christ.

Playing Catch Up October 1st

Now that the pool is closed Jason has been struggling quite a bit.  His sensory needs are through the roof.  We took these three to the rec center for a bit of a swim.

Playing Catch Up September 30th

I found this in Jason's back pack.  I thought to myself as I looked at the proof.  "Someone worked really hard to get that picture."

And then I caught sight of the note on the package.  "Crop out teachers head."  I laughed and laughed.  Jason has good teachers!!!

Jason eating his Dad's head phones while waiting for the older kids to get out of school.

Samantha playing with Grandma's neighbors.  That girl will make friends everywhere we go!

Playing Catch Up September 27th

Duncan had to go to a Scout Camp Out in the rain.  Thankfully my Mom gave me my Dad's old ski coat that he used to wear when I was in high school.  Sad that Duncan fits in it though.

beautiful morning sky

Sam had to go to the Safety Fair.  Since we were early we walked around the halls and found her artwork.

Learning about how to approach strange dogs.

Firewoman Sam!

Showing what happens to your brain in a car crash.  Egg guts everywhere!  Wear your seat belt.

Firetrucks are cool.

Duncan was mowing lawns and I can't believe how big he's gotten.

Tori hanging with Grandma Siddoway on the couch.
