February

Duncan's Solo and Ensemble.  Much better than last year.

Duncan and Tori being Duncan and Tori.  I love that they still enjoy each other's company!

Eye appointments can be boring, but Samantha always entertains us.

Samantha made a zebra cake.  I think she did a fantastic job, and it even tasted good!

Momma's tired selfie

I'm not sure what was going on here, but on Facebook I put, "save me Jason."  Duncan must have been in trouble again.

This was the conversation/argument I walked into.
Tori: "well we'd run into the sewers and I would get batman and so I'd win."
Brett: "then I would bring a pizza with me and the ninja turtles would be with me and take out batman."
This went on for over twenty minutes.#geeksatmyhouse #thejoyofparenthood

Jason just loves snuggling with Mama....or maybe he just thinks that's where I belong.

Yup....he just thinks that's where we belong.

Duncan stuck his finger in a light socket....and he really needed to shave.

Waiting....waiting....waiting....somedays I think that's all Jason and I do....

I crocheted Duncan a Newsies hat.  (I don't know where it is now, but I think it looked good.)

Brett and Duncan speak a different language.  Brett was trying to explain something to Duncan, and this was his example.  I soooooo don't understand it.

I found these valentines online.  We printed them out for Samantha.  She was absolutely ecstatic about Grumpy Cat.

Daddy helped Sam with her Valentines Cake Box.

And I made this one for Jason.  He loves Inspector Gadget.

Tori had a Valentine's Party at a friends house.  She fits right in with her friends.  It makes me happy she found a group of friends that lets her be her quirky self.

Samantha had her Patriotic Program

Sometimes we get smiles....sometimes we get screams.  Today we got smiles.

Child family fun day at the Natural History Museum.

Samantha's piano lessons

Duncan had High School orientation.  WEIRD!

I woke up in the middle of the night and noticed that Jason wasn't in bed with us.  I went to check on him and couldn't find him.  I started to panic.  I turned the flashlight on my phone and found him in bed with Samantha.  How cute is that?

A good end to the month of February

January Swim meat

Duncan loved swim team

Duncan's Orchestra/Band Concert January 30th

The rest of January

Duncan and I had his SEOP on the 14th.  I got a sticker with his school picture on it.

The thing about having kids now a days, there is LOTS of waiting.

Samantha loves EVERYTHING about baking.  I caught her watching the Next top Baker.

Poor Tori had a huge project due for Health class.  She worked on it all week.

Brett had to help.  This of course is how he cut cardboard.  With the vegetable knife.

And of course this is the name of Tori's week long project.  =)

January 12th

I love when the girls will let me do their hair.  I discovered a good way to do rag curls.  Easy and ok to sleep in.  Here's a link.  Doesn't Samantha look so stinking cute?

Grateful

I had to go to school for 3/4 kids today. Tori had to give a piano/flute duet and she thinks I can play. Samantha wasn't sure if her class was watching their movie so I had to run her a pillow. Duncan wanted to bring his guitar to orchestra for the post concert party, and of course he forgot about it until lunch. In grateful I can do the silly things they ask for.

And now I'm hanging out with this sweet boy. How can you be anything but happy?

January 11th

Duncan had a swim meet this day.

Tori loved being in the school musical.  So here's a secret taping of her singing one of the songs.  =)

January 8th

With Duncan on the swim team we spent a lot of time together in the car.  This was his breakfast.....roman noodles.....

January 6th

Brett decided to go to the Gym this day, and Duncan had to do some homework.  I ran over to the gym to let Brett know that Duncan was at the library, and then dropped Duncan off.  I took a picture of Duncan and texted it Brett so he knew where he was to pick him up.  Then I ran home and finished dinner.  =)

January 5th

Our new church time is 9am.  So I thought I would try doing Rag Curlers in Tori's hair.  Look at how AWESOME this girls hair is!

After church Jason needs to strip naked and have a popsicle.  Duncan just has to hang out with us.  (I'm ok with that!)

Up at the In-Laws house the kids were singing some of the songs from the Frozen soundtrack.  I tried to catch it, but the minute I pulled my phone out, they all stopped singing!

January 4th

Duncan got to go skiing with Grandpa Child for the first time.  My Dad taught us all to ski, so when Duncan finally wanted to learn Dad took him up.  I told Dad to take a selfie on the ski lift.  As you can tell, he wasn't quite sure how to do it.  They had a fun time, and Duncan came home really sore.  I told him he would be surprised what muscles hurt.  Of course my Dad wasn't sore at all, so that was a fun topic of conversation to harass Duncan about.

January 2nd

Sam and I were the only ones at the dinner table this evening.  Duncan went with Brett to Cub Scouts, and Tori was babysitting.   Jason of course doesn't usually sit down, so that was no surprise.  It was fun to have a little us time with my Sammy!

New Years Eve

New Years Eve my sister Leslie asked if my older kids could spend the night.  They immediately said yes, and so they went had had a ball with some of their cousins.

Brett and I are such party animals, we didn't know what to do.  We went up to the In-laws and hung out there for a while.

Jason fell asleep before midnight and then I believe Brett and I went to sleep.

Sigh.....we really are getting old.

Autism is our Life

Since a lot of my posts are about Jason and his Autism, I decided to start a new blog.  I know that it seems that I have one child and occasionally post about the other children.  So I decided that this is for sure going to be the family blog.  If you want to follow that blog it's autismisourlife.blogspot.com

December 30th

We now spend a lot of time at the Rec Center.  Jason loves the pool, and he even loves the shower in the family dressing rooms.  I wish they had more of the family dressing rooms.  Trying to keep Jason calm while waiting for someone to vacate on of them can be hard!

Grandma Siddoway spent a lot of time sewing a weighted blanket for Jason.  He loves it!  It has become a nightly thing to keep him in bed.

December 28th

We had the Siddoway Family Christmas Party the weekend after Christmas.  Jason was struggling all through the hollidays, so he took a few moments and hid in the bathroom.

I'm the best Mom.  This was breakfast!

We did white elephant gift exchange and had a pinata!

The kids had a blast!  They always enjoy the time with their cousins, and Brett and I always enjoy a little adult conversation!

This was one of Duncan's favorite gifts.  Sindicate is a youtuber that Duncan listens to a lot.  He loves his show and was excited that he got one of his t-shirts.
