Wednesday

Jason and I went to the audiologist Wednesday morning. Christine is so sweet and tries so hard with Jason. We got to the office and he knew where he was supposed to go. He went right into the booth and sat down on the chair. Unfortunately he really didn't want to take the test, only play with the toys.

Here is some video from my phone. I sat on the opposite side this time, with Christine.

We concluded that we still have NO IDEA! Christine suggested that we take him to the ENT and then set up and ABR if his ears are healthy. I did set up an appointment with Dr. Muntz but that takes a good month to get into see him. Once we are able to determine the health of his ears, we will then work on getting the ABR.

Then Duncan had a scrimmage game. They are division 4 and this team was division 2. They did really well! I'm excited for this season. There will be some fun games to watch.

Wednesday

I'm wasted!! I was up until 3:30am last night working, and I'm sure that I will be up till that time or later tonight. Thankfully I haven't felt ornery, until about 9:00pm. I want the kids to go to bed now.

Duncan had to be at a soccer clinic at 6:30am this morning. He said that they scrimaged and practice dribbling most of the time. The person in charge of the clinic put the 5 guys from Duncan's team together against the rest of the group. They won 6-5 (or 6-2 if you count like Duncan). I couldn't find my keys so I had to call a friend of mine to go get Duncan. Thankfully she was going to pick up her kid and I didn't make her turn around. He also had scouts tonight, and came home with a snazzy new t-shirt for the summer.

Tori has had a bit of a struggle today. She's having a hard time with the amount of friends that Duncan has in our neighborhood. Unfortunately most all of the kids around Tori's age are boys, and they want to be Duncan's friend, not Tori's. I hope the girls figure out how to play together this summer.

Samantha has been overly affectionate today. I'm not sure what happened. Usually she only wants to hug if she's feeling sad, but she has seemed to be pretty happy today. Maybe she's turning a corner.

Jason has been exhausted today. He didn't go to sleep until 11:00pm so you would expect that he would take a nap. Nope! Instead he showed me his first real response to being angry. If I didn't know for a fact that he was mad at me, I would have laughed. I took a permanent marker away from him, I have no idea where he found it. He cried, and then walked over to me tight lipped and growling. I thought I was in for it. He put his fist ever so gently against my arm and pushed. He didn't hit, he just forcefully expressed his dislike for my removing the marker from his chubby little hand. Hopefully he will let Brett get him down tonight. He hasn't been too cooperative in this department.

This evening while dinner was cooking we played Marshmallow Basketball. The kids thought this was pretty cool. Duncan asked why we were going to play. I told him, "Just for fun." He said, "Man this summer is getting more and more fun." =)

As you can see I'm such a clever photographer, I caught Duncan's marshmallow mid air. (I'm not going to tell you how many pictures I took to get that though.)
The kids love their Marshmallows!

We were going to go outside and roast Marshmallows after dinner but dinner took too long to cook. So I microwaved them instead. I know not as fun, but the kids liked them just the same.
Jason just eats Graham Crackers. A child after my own heart.

Wednesday

Yesterday was a work clean and try to stay awake day. I've got to get my day's under control so I'm not up until 2 or 3 every night.

Samantha watched Pippy Long Stockings a couple times while I worked, and Duncan spent most of the day playing Halo. I'm going to hide the Xbox soon. I can't believe how intense he is into playing that stupid game.

Jason was a pretty good boy. He really did a lot on his own without much distruction. He spent quite a bit of time drawing. I've also started freezing the gogurts, and I divided up the raisin bread into sandwich bags. That way hopefully he won't be dragging them around the house and making quite the mess that he usually does.

Jason's friend Paula came over last night. She looked at his hearing test and thought that it looked about the same as last time. Until I advised her that his bad ear was his right ear. Then she really got confused. She said in all of her years working with babies with a hearing loss she has never seen anyone get better in one ear and worse in the other. We are going to try and get his next hearing test before his IEP so that we can have that info when the meeting comes around. Maybe at that point we'll have some clear ears???

We go pick up Tori from Summer camp today. She's had a ball!!!

Wednesday

Today was one of those days.

Because of the girls dance recital and one of our employees quiting I worked until 3:30am. When Jason got up at about 8:30am, I asked the kids to come upstairs in my room and watch Jason. Not too hard, they can watch T.V., just make sure Jason doesn't get into anything. Duncan brought up his computer, to which I swiftly told him no computer while watching Jason. About 30 minutes later I woke up to my back being soaked by a full water bottle. All three kids were sitting on the floor completely ignoring Jason. Should I be surprised? No.

So I figured since I was up, we might as well go walking at the school. So I got dressed and packed the kids up and walked out the door. That was pretty good. I walked father then I have yet.

I got the kids home and chilled out for a while. I got a phone call from Jean Delangelo (speech therapist) she wanted to make sure I remembered her visit. I hadn't but I was home, so no big deal. Jason worked with Jean, enjoyed stacking big blocks, playing with play dough, and then he just wanted to be flipped and swung. He was done pretty early today.

After that, I decided I needed to take a shower, and of course Jason had to get in with me. I quickly washed up, and then got out and let him stay in the shower for a little while. I got dressed, no worries. Then I got him out and walked into my room to get him dressed, carrying my 40 pound 2 year old. He had pulled the heater vent out of the floor, and I stepped down into the vent. I now have a good gash in my foot, and it's bruised like crazy.

Brett came home for about 40 minutes and then was out the door with Duncan to soccer practice. They were only supposed to be gone for an hour and a half. 2 and a half hours later I called Brett and asked him where he was. They were making final team decisions.

So it's 9 o'clock, and I'm just starting my 100 studies for the day. I know, I should be working and not blogging, but I'm feeling a bit abused. Abused by my kids. Is that possible???
