Jason, Samantha, and Tori Update

The kids had an appointment with Dr. Dries today. Tori had her eyes dilated so recently that Dr. Dries didn't want to do it again.

Samantha did awesome, her vision has only changed a slight amount. We are going to be patching again. Not too much, just an hour a day. She also got new glasses today. Her prescription is intense enough that it will take about a week to get them back.

Jason was a royal pain!! He drove me nuts and killed my back. He didn't want to be anywhere I wanted him, even if there were toys. He was exhausting. Good news is his retina's are good and he doesn't have to have glasses yet.

That's about it for now!!

Last Day of School

I can't believe the school year is over. I'm going to be the mother of a 5th grader. How did that happen?

For a few years now we have been giving the teachers a picture of the kids. It started out with taking the kids picture's in an old time picture booth but has evolved into this. The funny thing is this is easier because Brett is amazing with a computer. It's pretty unique too, not only do I not know anyone else that does this but it's my kids. =)

Tori also wrote a poem for her teacher that we taped to the back of the frame.

The night is dark and the day is long.
Children gather around her knee,
they have happy smiles and do it with glee.
She is kind and nice and fun.
She does fun parties and is a great friend.
I wish this year would never end.
I will be sad because you are great.
I will remember all the fun we had.
But me I am very, very sad.
You are my kind of person.
You’re my best friend.
Hugs and kisses
Love
Victoria

Darn Kids, and Darn Cars!!

Jason is already starting with another ear infection. I took him to the doctor this morning and he is going to be back on an antibiotic this evening. I'm hoping that after this medicine he will at least make it to the appointment that I have with Dr. Muntz in June.

We also had to have the van fixed. Some dang manifold problem and it will cost us $489.09. YUK!!!!! Dang Van!!!!

Oh well, life goes on. I need my van, so it needs to get fixed. *sigh*

The Ice Cream Man

The onslaught begins!!! We live in a very child infested neighborhood, and the ice cream men know it. Yes I said MEN. We have about 4 that drive around our area almost daily in the summer. I've come to detest the music box music as they drive through the streets. I actually had to help Samantha break open her piggy bank so that she could join the other kids at the curb. Oh, well. At least the weather is warming up.

Normal Life

Tori lost another tooth last night. That girl pops them out so fast the tooth fairy can't keep up with her. She has a pretty small jaw so as soon as a new grown up tooth starts growing in the next tooth behind it falls out. So she always seems to have a missing tooth. At least the tooth fairy remembered to come to the house last night. =)

This morning I got a phone call from Duncan. He forgot the first paper of his story that he is writing for school. I swear there is always some little thing to start my day off balance. This is another reason I stay home with the kids, even if it is a bit inconvenient. I advised him however, that he owes me one kick to his rear.

The girls have decided that they want to spend "EasterEve" in the toy room, so they have spent most of the day cleaning up. It's been really nice to have the day go by without too much girl drama.

I think that Jason has RSV. I know I'm not a doctor but he's on an antibiotic right now and he's getting really raspy. I'll have to keep on eye on the boy and see if his breathing becomes hindered. He has also turned into quite the biter. He had something in his mouth this morning that he didn't want me to get out so he chomped onto my finger and wouldn't let go. Than, when I was trying to put him in the car to drive Samantha to school he tried to bite my neck. Watch out everyone! This one has his own ideas about things.
