Memorial Day Weekend

Memorial Day as always started out with us trucking it to Hogan Park for the Woods Cross Memorial Day Breakfast. However, it was FREEZING!! Mud everywhere!!! We waited in line with our neighbor James who asked us to buy his food. We offered to spend an extra dollar if he did some manual labor in our yard in return. We figured a dollar was worth it. =)

Jason had a complete meltdown when it was time to sit with the crowd. He wanted to go HOME! So I told Brett I was going home, and the kids could stay at the park if they would stay together. The only one that took us up on that was Duncan and he hung out with James. The girls came home because it was so cold.

James showed up and we handed him a sledge hammer. Duncan helped out a little.

Then Brett was called to take his turn.
Brett persevered and got out the grinder.
Here is our wall. Brett still has to grind it down to make it look pretty but the hopes is that we won't have a flooded basement this year.
Then we went to Duncan's last soccer game. It was muddy and cold. The boys were ridiculously messy!
Grandma and Grandpa Siddoway took us to the movie Rio, and Chuck-a-rama for dinner. My kids think that if you go to a movie you have to stop there on the way home. Thanks Grandpa, and Grandma!

Then we went to my folks to play with some cousins. Jeff of course had to do something crazy so the part of the watermelon got sacrificed.

All in all it was a pretty good day!
