I know!!! I'm looking for the good things in life. Searching. Ok. In tired and I have a headache. Jason has diarrhea and can't go to school. Duncan thinks he hurt his knee and wants a note to skip gym. So I'm headed to the jr high.

Lunch and Sam
Brett had an event on Friday and he had a bunch of stuff that had to take back to the office. So I drove it out to him after my quiz and we had lunch. It was only about 45 minutes but I'm grateful to have a little alone time with him.
Samantha called twice from school so I went and picked her up. She claims to have a soar throat but I think a lot of her problem is mama neediness. She just wants a little attention. I'm going to now attempt to get 8 hrs of stuff packed into 4.

October 14th
When Duncan was 9 months old he got RSV. He required a nebulizer for over two months, so our insurance bought it for us. Since we are the only ones in my family with one, we get calls periodically to use it. My sister told me I should start charging for it.
My sweet niece had a pretty severe attack and I ran up to their house to drop it off, and hover like a crazy person. She was so sweet. After she had the albuterol treatment, she started coughing. Once coughing ensued the little thing puked. She was showing me and her dad how she puked. She makes me laugh!!!

Jason didn't feel good
Sunday we went to see the Grandparents early because we needed to get the girls to Summer Camp. Jason just laid in the Sun in my parents kitchen.

Puke
Samantha just puked in my car! YUKKY! I literally hosed out my car. My toes are still cold from the experience. I'm trying to find a substitute but don't think I will be able to find one. It's Easter weekend. If anyone was going to be gone they set up a sub weeks ago.
She's still not looking good. She is definitely sick, not just something she ate.
Wish me luck!!!!

What a weekend....
This morning was quite the game. Well, lets start this weekend.
I was feeling a little run down on Saturday, but I thought it was because Jason hadn't been sleeping. Then Saturday night I came down with a 102 degree fever, and was in bed until Sunday. Then I ran to Instacare and got confirmed what I thought. I have Strep Throat, again...... I have amoxicillin to take 2 times a day.
Jason had an in-grown toe nail. Yes.....at 2. Brett saw it and was able to get it out, but too late to keep it from infection. So I'd set an appointment to take him to the doctor today, however it looked so bad last night I ran him over to Lisa's house to get her to look at it last night. So now I have an Keflex to give him twice a day and an antibiotic ointment that I get to apply to the affected area 3 times a day. Along with giving him a Epsom Salt bath three times a day to see what can be soaked out of his foot.
Samantha threw up about 9:30am, so she is staying home. So far nothing more, but she got to stay home. She's enjoying her time.
Tori has had a stuffy nose for about 2 weeks. She has started getting headaches and her eyes have had constant circles, and they've been red for about 3 days now. So I kept this mornings appointment and brought her in to see if she had strep or a sinus infection. No Strep.....sinus infection. So now she will have Augmentin to take 2 times a day. Also, recommended Musinex D 2 a day until she clears up.
Duncan says he's had Diarrhea for a few days. He really thought he should stay home. So I had all 4 of the kids when I ran to the doctor this morning. Although he was yelling and screaming and enjoying himself on the ride. I advised him that he was going to have a ton of homework and he needed to decide if he was really sick. I also told him that he was not going to get to play with his computer today while he should be in school. All of a sudden he thought he should probably go to school.
So I checked Tori and Duncan into school, since Tori's issue was not contagious, and advised his teacher that we have been sick at home but that as soon as I had taken away his computer he wanted to get to school. Hopefully he stays healthy. For one, we have enough illness around her. Secondly, if he does end up throwing up at school I'm going to feel really guilty. =)

Sick kids and eye openers.
I woke up this morning to Tori telling me she had a soar throat. I told her if she wanted to stay home that was fine, but she had to help me with Jason. Of course she was thrilled to stay home, and Duncan was madder then a rattler that he had to go to school. Tori was a great help while I worked, and then we decided the weather was nice enough that we would walk Samantha to school. Yes, I actually walked Samantha to school. I'm so excited that the weather cooperated today! On the way to school I advised Tori that she would be taking a nap. When you stay home sick from school you always have to take a nap. We got to school and Tori advised me she would like to stay for the rest of school.....LOL! I advised her that that was not an option and just because she didn't want to take a nap didn't mean she was going to go to school now. So my two kids that are home today are now in bed. Teach her to stay home from school, huh?
I finally listened to a tape that Paula, from PIP, brought me on Friday. It is an audio of what a severe, moderate, and mild hearing loss would sound like. WOW!!! All I can say is I can speak English and have been for 30 years now, and I couldn't understand what was being said, even on the mild hearing loss portion of the tape. No wonder my baby isn't speaking yet.
Now I know what you are going to say, "But Mel, your son only has a hearing loss in 1 ear." But, that means on a GOOD day he is only hearing about 50% of things. He's a busy boy. He never stops moving. When is his good ear always facing the right way? So I've gotta be more diligent about the hearing aid!!!! Wish me luck!
