Laundry, Yard Work, Showers, and Soccer

Yesterday was Laundry day. It will probably continue through today as well. I'm trying to get caught up so MAYBE I don't have to spend all my free time folding clothes. wish me luck.

Duncan got home from camping and I sent him right back outside to mow the lawn. Mean huh? He did a good job! We even moved the tramp and swing set so he could get under those. Then Brett got out the weed eater and finished it off. I'm excited for my back yard this summer. It should be a lot of fun.

My cousin Lisa is having a baby. This will be her first and it's a little boy. We're so excited for her! She had her baby shower yesterday so we made brownies and headed over to my Aunts house. The girls had fun playing with their cousins and it was nice to just sit down and not worry about Jason.

Duncan had his final soccer game of the season. They got spanked. However, they played really well! The only reason they lost as much as they did was because they were asleep for about the first 15 minutes. I swear that is the biggest problem with our team. Once they realize that they are out on the soccer field they play really well!!! I think Brett will end up coaching again.....which means another year of putting up with crappy Refs and wanting to punch crappy parents. But Duncan really wants to do it again, so it will probably happen.

Dance pictures and the Fathers and Son's

Jason and I pretty much hung out on Friday. I took this picture as proof that I do give him a bath.
Then the girls had dance pictures. That was quite the trial. I forgot Tori's Jazz paints, and Samantha's shoes. I had to run home after dropping them off, so that they'd be there if I missed anything. Then when I got back to the school I realized Jason was stinky. I didn't bring the diaper bag. So Brett had to come pick up Jason bring him home to be changed, and get ready for the father's and sons.

I gave Duncan the Flip camera so he could take pictures. Brett is not very good at taking pictures. He forgets. So the video that is uploaded to Photobucket is all Duncan's doing. It's quite entertaining.

Soccer and Hair

Duncan had another soccer game tonight. Thank goodness the season is almost over!!! They didn't have refs because it was a make-up from a preseason game. According to Brett and Duncan the score was 3-2 for them. If you asked the other coach it was 2-1 for them. From the sounds of it I'd say it was for Duncan's team. Of course I'm biased.

The girls have dance pictures today so I gave the girls corn rows so their hair will be crazy wavy. We'll see what I can do with them after they get home from school.

Grounding, Dance, and Scouts

Yesterday I woke up to Duncan in my room in pain. Samantha had decided it was a good idea to kick him in the goods. She was cooking her pancake on a stick, in the microwave. There was 1 second left before it beeped and Duncan opened the door. Samantha decided that was rude and kicked him. Then when I got mad at her she punched Duncan because he told on her. We had a nice talk and she was grounded for the day. I'm not sure it even made a difference though. The girl can decide anything is what she wanted.

Sam had Ballet & Tap. I'd have kept her home if it wasn't so close to the recital. She is quite the monkey.

Tori played with Jason in the back yard for a while. She pushes him on the swing, and he doesn't let go for anything. If she tells him it's time to get off and go inside he holds on tighter and leans back. So she pushes him some more. He is starting to wrap her around his finger too.

Duncan had scouts. The did service projects. The help our neighbor finish laying sod, and then had cookies down at one of the leaders houses. He's quite enjoying scouts!!!

Soccer, Dance, and Trampoline

Jason and I had a pretty mellow day. We both took a nap. This has kind of turned into the normal these days. I'm not sure if it's good or bad. I don't work as much when the kids are up, so I'm up late. However, I'm at least getting the sleep I need so I'm not the bear of a mother.

The girls had dance again. Both of them have Jazz class on Tuesday's. When I went to pick up Samantha she was looking through a photo album and was so excited to see her dance pictures in there. Tori had to have new Jazz shoes so I had to help her put them on. They can be so hard sometimes, even when they are the right size! I think they should know their dances. We have a CD of their songs and they have been listening to it all day.

Duncan had another soccer game. Tori's dance and his game overlapped so I didn't get to see the whole game. It was cold! Duncan was frozen most of the game. Part of that could have been that he didn't bring a coat or anything.
Tori helps a lot with Jason lately. He's really enjoying his big sister.
Samantha can't stay out of the stroller. At least Jason wasn't trying to climb in it with her this time.
I know, I'm terrible!! But, if he has something to watch he doesn't run off.
The cute little bugger got out of the van and ran around to the back yard to get on the tramp. He's loving it!! I put his feet on the ground and he grinned and took off. I've got to fix the netting. The neighbor keep grabbing onto it and pulling it down. sigh.....one more project.

Walking, Dance, and Girls

Jason and I went for our walk yesterday. I've put my stroller in the garage for now since it's been raining and snowing off and on. I let go of Jason's hand to get the stroller and he took off to the trampoline! He climbed up and jumped and jumped. I got the stroller out and thought it was going to be a chore to get him off. I said, "Let go for a walk." He looked over at the stroller and walked over to the opening and let me put him on the ground. He ran over to the stroller and waited for me to put him in. So cute!!!

Jason and I spent most of the day fighting over whether or not I was going to work. He would walk into my office, take my hand off the mouse or key board and climb up on my lap. He has discovered that he can lean back ward and then flip off my lap. He thinks this is a GREAT game!

He also really likes water! He has discovered that the larger water bottle with the flip top can be opened with a bit of determination and his teeth. He soaked himself MANY times!!!

After school the girls had dance, and I ran them over as soon as I could find my stinking keys! The girls have had trouble getting along lately and we had a pretty stern talk with the kids about peace in our home and loving each other. I just had to remind them once about our talk and they got a long beautifully. We'll see how long it lasts, but I've got my fingers crossed.

Duncan had a couple buddies over at the house and out of nowhere three twelve year old girls were hanging out with them in the back yard. I've never seen these girls. I don't know who they are. I just know they are in Duncan's two buddies class at school. Curtis had sense to stay away from them, but not Duncan. He was in the middle of them as much as he could. sigh.....This better not happen to often or I'm going to lock Duncan in his room till he's nineteen.

It did make me laugh though, so I had to take a picture. The girls were so pushy and trying to act grown up and the boys were so awkward it was quite humorous!!

Mothers Day Weekend

I haven't posted in a few days. I've been a little busy....

Friday I got my hair cut. Not anything drastic. I just got the dead ends cut off and had my face waxed.....ouch!! At the very end of my haircut, I got a phone call from Duncan telling me they couldn't find Samantha to walk home. I asked him if they had had the office page her, which they had. I told him to run home, and see if she left them. She has been running ahead because she has had to go to the bathroom as soon as she gets home. So I got another phone call from home, maybe 8 minutes later telling me she wasn't there. This girl is going to kill me! I knew I would be meeting them as they walked in the door, but sheesh!! I had her cut the hair style short and ran out the door. I called Brett, and told him. He said to call the cops, which I had a feeling Samantha was ok, just hiding. He said he'd be on his way. I finally remembered I had Samantha's teachers number on my cell, so I quickly called that. She told me Samantha had been in and out of her classroom a couple times after school and was on her way home. I called Brett and told him that she was ok, and not to come home. Then raced as fast as I could to get home. As I got to the busy road the kids have to cross to get to school I Samantha walking down the road with a lady I didn't recognize. She had been crying on opposite side of the busy road and this woman had seen her. She didn't make her get in her car but was going to walk her home. We've had many discussions of late about getting lost......

Friday night Brett went to "Manly May" with my Dad, Brother and Brother's-in-law. They drove to "Man-dover" (Wendover) and spent the night at a casino and had a good time. Brett came home no money lost, but quite refreshed.

Duncan helped our neighbor across the street lay sod on Saturday. He's a sweet kid and was helping to get service hours for scouts. The girls ended up over digging weeds, and I made Brett go help finish up.

Brett bought me an ice cream maker for mother's day. I'm very excited! Since we were going to be having dinner at my mother's house, he made me some ice cream!

Then there was the soccer game. They were spanked! I can't even tell you how many points the other team scored. They were ROUGH and they took out our keeper in the first 10 minutes. The ref's were a bunch of teenage boys and thought that ok..... I brought the portable DVD player and Jason just hung out by his stroller the whole game. It was LOVELY! The girls went over to feed the horses. Made for quite the enjoyable game.
The kids made me flower necklaces for Mother's Day at church. They were very sweet!!
Then we stopped at the cemetery and put flowers on Granny's and Geri's graves. The kids were cute and fought over who got to place the flowers. We weren't 100% were Geri's grave was so we sent the kids searching. They actually really enjoyed that!

Then we played at my mothers for the rest of the night. Quite entertaining. And!! just a side note, I didn't change one stinky diaper yesterday! I think that was the best present of all! Thanks Dear!!!
And of course here is a little video of Duncan's soccer game.
