Play Group, Play Project, Practice, Dance, Reading

Jason had playgroup yesterday. He did really well. Paula came to see him, she's going to Egypt at the end of this month so she won't be able to see him twice. This was our way of getting her visits in. We got there and he played in the kitchen first. Then he ran over to the trampoline, until they told him 2 minutes, and then rang the bell. Then we sat down and did circle time. He really loves the "Choo Choo" song.

Then he went back to the trampoline for a while. We played with him, he was just loving the undivided attention from two of us. Then two minute warning and time for the ball pit. I've got to get one of these!! He LOVED it! He just sat in it and rolled around. I think the sensory input is just what Jason needs.

Then two minute warning and it was free time. He made his way to the art table and loved Dot Art. Again, I've got to get some of these. They are like markers but are big circles and he just enjoyed the amount of color he could put down on the table. Two minutes and then the goodbye circle time.

We did Old MacDonald and Jason sat uninterested until it was over. Then we sang the goodbye song and Jason jumped up and went to the door. He knew it was time to go home!!

Then Jean Delangelo came to see him. She is our Play Project/Speech Therapist. She really liked his improvement. He's definitely looking for me, to play with. He's engaged and enjoying his time with me. The next step is to get him vocalizing about what he wants. He gets a little frustrated when I don't just respond to his body language. For example: I knock on his feet. Not soft either. He loves it. So if he puts his feet in my hands it's time to knock again. Jean wants me to wait for some vocalization or sign language from him.

Duncan and Brett went to soccer practice so I didn't see them until about 7:30pm.

Tori had Dance and she came home with a big smile on her face. This is an improvement on some days. She can be VERY touchy, but I think the girls are really treating her well right now.

Samantha just finished reading the Box Car Children #1. I bought this for her for our trip to Florida, because it was one of my favorites as a kid. I told her we could buy number #2 and her eyes lit up. "There are more?" I told her I thought there were about 150 of them, and she said she was going to read them all!!! She's turned in to quite the reading fool!!!

Walking, Flipping, Dance, Digging, Scouts, and Sleep

Jason and I went for a walk again yesterday. It was nice, and he sang almost the full 45 minutes we were out. My legs are still a little tired this morning, sad!

Duncan and Tori have decided they can do flips on the tramp. Duncan is a little more coordinated at this point, but Tori is really trying.

Samantha had Ballet and Tap tonight. She really enjoys her class. The girls only have a few weeks until their recital.

Brett did some more digging and bought himself a double sided ax so that the can chop through some of the roots so much fun!!

I have put Jason's mattress on the floor by my side of the bed. He has been sharing our bed for so long it's pretty miserable. So hopefully we can train him to stay on his mattress and then work our way out the door and into his room. Keep your fingers crossed for us!!!

No Sleep, New Job, Soccer, Dance, and Digging

Yesterday was a day of exhaustion for Brett and I. As always Brett handles the lack of sleep much better then I do. With Jason not sleeping the night before and his inability to keep his elbows and knees to himself when he is asleep, we got very little sleep. So last night we moved Jason's mattress into our room and put it on the floor. I've been thinking about this for a while, but really haven't wanted to make that kind of commitment. He only tried to get into our bed once last night, and I immediately laid him back on his bed. In his room, he would have screamed and tried to sit back up. It didn't matter how long I stayed with him or tried to keep him in his bed. He wasn't in the right room. Last night, he took his bottle and held my hand and went back to sleep. Brett and I both woke up pretty refreshed. Hopefully this continues.

Brett started his new job on Monday. His one complaint is that it's VERY QUIET. So today he brought his headphones so he could listen to his iPod while working. He was very excited to tell me he updated a couple pages on the website already. He says he's got a lot of work ahead of him to revamp the website, which is good. People needing you at your job is a good thing.

Duncan had another soccer game. It was up in Roy this time, and the girls had dance so I stayed home. Brett said he played AWESOME. They tied 1-1. The boys seem to really be getting how to play. The downfall......Duncan asked Brett if the team would be the same in the fall........Duncan wants to play again.......sigh...

Tori had achievement days while Samantha had Jazz. And then Tori had Jazz an couple hours later. I'm not going to lie and say I won't be glad once the recital is done. However, I think the girls are going to want to dance again next year. Sigh.......at least they want to do something, I guess.

Brett came home from the game to Jake and James in the back yard digging up that stump. They were so optimistic that they would be able to get it out. But, the roots seemed to slow them down. Go figure. Brett will be purchasing an ax today, and hopefully they will be able to hack through some of those monsters!!!

Family Night

Yesterday ended up being kind of relaxing yet busy at the same time. Jason wanted to play outside so I finally asked Duncan to take him in the back yard for a while. My two bear foot boys had a good time.

Jason loves the tramp. He could jump on it all day if I let him. He's really enjoying the back yard!

Brett, Jake, and James dug out one of the many stumps in our back yard last night. It took three guys with shovels, 1 pick ax, 1 mall, and a chain saw, but the got it out.

After they got the one out Brett decided to start the digging around another. This one is going to take a little while longer.

Last but not least Jason was up at 5:30am this morning. He finally fell asleep!!! Thank goodness.

Sunday night

We spent the evening at my parents house. Quite weird really, usually we go between Grandma and Grandpa Siddoway's and my folks on Sunday. Since they are on a mission this is going to take a while to get used to. It was actually a pretty nice day so the kids played in the front yard for a while. I just happened to have my flip camera in the diaper bag so I ran around taking pictures. Kind of fun.

Soccer, Birthday, and Beans

Yesterday ended up being a lazy day for me. It probably shouldn't have been. I had a lot to do, but I just couldn't make myself do anything. So there you go.

Duncan had a soccer game yesterday. I actually got to watch the game, because my Mom took Samantha, Tori, and Jason. Thanks Mom!

The game started out looking like we weren't even going to stand a chance. They were up 2-0 pretty quick. Then it seemed like the boys decided they weren't going to let this happen and they won the game 4-3. Duncan SCORED!!! He was so excited. I haven't seen him smile quite so big in a long time!!!

The girls were at my Mom's house because it was my nieces birthday on the 30th. So they got to play while Duncan had his soccer game and we had cake and ice cream. Jason has decided he REALLY likes black beans! He went over to my Grandmother and invaded her dinner. He ate them by the handfuls.

Uneventful. Kind of nice!

Yesterday was pretty good. The kids didn't argue in the morning, THANKS BRETT!! Then I went to the store to pick up diapers. Came home got Jason down for a nap, and myself. The kids came home early from school, and the girls spent the afternoon watching She-Ra at the neighbors house. Duncan played video games with his buddy until dinner time. After dinner Duncan asked to have a sleepover and I didn't hear or see either of them until 10:00am.

Nice!!!
